ALBERT CRUN. Albert was a sensitive young man, joined Rob Walkers in 1967 and was lucky enough to be seconded to Mr Ashwell of "wholesale". Despite the age difference, the relationship prospered, with Albert, or "Al" as he came to be known, becoming a trusted member of the staff until, one day, he was collected by local Police Officers and charged with a strange offence. To this day, the details remain obscure. "Al" is still in Strangeways but receives a Christmas Card from Mr Ashwell every year. |

NELLIE PONS. Nellie was a sensitive young girl, joined Rob Walkers in 1967 and was lucky enough to be seconded to Mr Ashwell of "wholesale". Despite the age difference, the relationship prospered, with Nellie, or "Eskie" as she came to be known, becoming a trusted member of the staff until, one day, she was collected by local Police Officers and charged with a strange offence. To this day, the details remain obscure. Eskie was always keen on games and may still be in play. However, she still gets one from Mr Ashwell at Christmas time. |

THE KAY TWINS. They were innocent young men when they joined Rob Walkers in 1967 and were lucky enough to be seconded to Mr Ashwell of "wholesale", on the sales side. All went well, sales increased, but quite a few of the dealers seemed to encounter accidents of a personal and painful nature. One day, the twins were collected by local Police Officers and charged with a strange offence. To this day, the details remain obscure. However, in a shrewd move, Mr Ashwell arranged the transfer of striker Hugh Rawdon from Chelsea Football Club who went on to become a big hitter for the Company. |

MR WINSTON. He was always known as "Mr Winston" because he was almost at retirement age when he joined Rob Walkers in 1967. He had expressed a wish to become an assistant to Mr Ashwell as he wanted to work for an older man. Mr Ashwell realised his potential and immediately declared war on the "wholesale" departments of all our competitors, most of whom had bombed out by 1969. Mr Winston left the Company at the beginning of 1970 and went on to establish an Insurance Company. |
